KRION In sports medicine

Cryotherapy restores the body’s vital processes to normal levels, so after a session, professional athletes may lose their peak performance for 2 to 4 hours.

WBC on match day

  • A WBC session should be performed at the peak of fatigue, pain, or other adverse symptoms.
  • It is best to perform a WBC session within one hour of completing physical activity.
  • If time permits on the day of the match, two WBC sessions can be performed, but only after the competition has concluded.
  • The ideal interval between sessions is six hours.
  • From clinical trials, we know that approximately 90% of people report improved psychological well-being after a course of five to ten sessions.

WBC during training

  • This is the most obvious way.
WBC averages or normalizes all processes in the body, so after a procedure, high level athletes can lose their outstanding abilities for 2–4 hours.

  • WBC procedures should be carried out right before training and right after training.

  • During the training period WBC can be applied before and after training. No limits.

  • The follow ups prove that in 1 hour after the training, the WBC procedure reduces the lactic acid level in the athlete’s blood to the morning level.

  • The optimal schedule for cryosauna is 8.00, 14.00, 20.00.

WBC during rehabilitation

  • Whole-body cryotherapy sessions help establish a strong foundation for increased effectiveness of subsequent treatments.
  • It is preferable to perform whole-body cryotherapy sessions before any other treatments or procedures.
  • The following procedures should begin within a maximum of 30 minutes after a whole-body cryotherapy session.
  • We recommend engaging in a variety of movement activities between cryotherapy sessions.
